Cory Minter: Hi, my name is Cory Minter. I’m president of Trinity employment specialists. Trinity is a Tulsa staffing company and we have a specialized department specifically for the medical field. In the medical field we staff for all sorts of different kinds of positions. We staff for medical billers, physicians assistants, X-ray techs, medical assistants, medical front office staff, medical receptionist personnel, almost everything in the medical field starting from the front office person and going all the way to a nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant.
That’s what it is that we focus on, it’s something that we’ve been extremely good at over the last few years. Also in the last three years we, Trinity has been awarded as one of Tulsa’s top 40 fastest growing companies. It’s something that we are super proud of. The reason I think that we’ve done this, about 80% of our business now comes by way of referral, it’s because we just do a good job. That’s what we do, try to go out and do a good job for the people that are around us and we’ve been able to do some exceptional things in this area.
One of the things that we try to offer our customers, is a pathway to getting an A player. It really is just like this, we want to try to do our very best to recruit the best possible candidate that we can for you but if we miss it, we want to give everyone permission to release that person early let them go be an A player somewhere else.
Maybe Trinity can help them to find another place where they could be an A player and then have us replace them quickly. Really what you’re trying to do is just do that until you know that you have an A player. If Trinity is able to get you an A player one, it’s going to reduce your turnover. Two, you will be able to retain and attract much higher talent.
Third A players do roughly about two times the work of anyone else on your team. You probably know who you’re A players are right now on your team. The fourth thing is, A players stay longer than any B or C level players do, a lot of B and C level players have a high turnover rate, we don’t want that Tulsa staffing.
If you can glomerate those four things into one batch and look at the cost savings if we’re able to do that for you at Trinity, you will save so much money. It’s something that we’ve been really proud to be able to report to most of our most of our clients. Anyway that’s a little bit about Trinity.
I wanted to tell you about a particular position that we’re constantly recruiting for. We’re always recruiting for medical assistance. There’s such a huge demand in the medical assistant world now. A big part of it comes because almost any clinic now needs to have a medical assistant to be certified or registered.
This is something that you have to pay for or you have to keep current and people who have a good longevity in their jobs mean they stay for a long time, they do what they’re supposed to do. Well they haven’t been required to stay on top, it hasn’t been in the forefront of their mind to stay on top of all of the regulations, their certifications and the certification lapse they forgot about it Tulsa staffing.
Now that it’s lapse you’ve got to go take another class to get it renewed, the class cost a little bit of money, the renewal costs money and there are just a lot of medical assistance they can’t even afford to stay certified. If you’re a medical assistant out there, I really want to encourage you to stay, to keep your certification and your registration.
Even if you’re not using it in the medical field right now. I really think that this is something that’s important for you because we have so many medical assistance that come out and they have 10 and 15 years of experience. We can’t place them anywhere because they’re not certified or registered. It is the craziest most maddening thing that I’ve ever heard of before.
What is so crazy is that most of this is just mandated by the Affordable Care Act and I get that you want to make sure you keep quality up. By keeping quality up in this way, you are removing the ability for employers to hire some really great medical assistants that are just not certified or registered but they’ve got like 10 or 15 years of experience doing it. It’s just that they didn’t have some technical organization to report they know what they’re doing.
If they can just take a test, I think they’ll be able to pass it. But they’ve got to pay for the test, the test is a couple hundred bucks and they’re just a lot of medical assistance that can’t afford to do that off the cuff they’ve got to have got a way to be able to save up for it. Finding medical assistance, often-times is very difficult. We have to go mine and look for each one of them because they are just not coming to us.
