Player matchmakers, where we’re always trying to find different ways to add value to job seekers and employers. The top of this podcast is how you should answer, what are your strengths? This is obviously for employees, and it’s a question that you’re always going to get. And it’s a question that I think everybody really tries to think about a little bit and you, you know, it’s going to be one of the most common interviewing questions and those answers are important. So what we have here is we have a, a, um, survey from past or, or current blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I’m having a hard time talking, um, current employers and they’re rating the answers about the best Tulsa medical staffing. And so we’ve got some, we’ve got some common answers and we’ve got a percentage of employers that liked the answer and why they liked it and why they didn’t. And I think it’s, I think it’ll give employees something interesting or potential employees looking to interview something to think about.
So, um, this is how you should answer, what are your strengths? You know, you know, it’s going to be one of the most important questions and you’re going to be asked to in a job interview, um, having a firm knowledge of what you can offer a potential employer, it’s really gonna help you sell yourself, but you might have multiple areas that you can help an employer with. You know, what, what is it you should highlight? And we all know that hard skills are there often necessary to fill job requirements, but soft skills are going to be the reason you stay, um, or the reason that they keep you. And so it’s really important for you to consider, um, how to intertwine those, um, you know, a recent survey by net quote, the company, polled hiring managers to find out what answers to the strengths questions were best received for our new level of Tulsa medical staffing services.
And I have the top five here. And I think it’s interesting to talk about, um, I’m a, I’m a good problem solving. So from, you know, a creative to technical problem solving is a universal skill. And really, if you think about it, that’s the only rise. The only reason you’re getting hard anyway is to solve some kind of problem. That’s what you’re doing. 42% of hiring managers chose this answer as being their top three favorite responses compared to others. Some other strengths problem solving can feel more like a concrete skill that will yield immediate benefits for a company says Rena Murphy. And she is the spokesman for net quote, the company, doing the survey, focusing on problem solving implies that candidate possesses secondary skills, including critical thinking, strategic thinking and leadership with great Tulsa medical staffing services. She later follows up. And you, if the thing is, is if you’re going to answer any of these questions, so let’s say you’re a good problem solver.
Well, rather than waiting for the manager to ask you all right, well, how, how did you solve problems? Come up with some examples, demonstrate your problem, solving abilities by sharing results that you’ve been able to, um, achieve, um, how you handled a situation, how you, how you took a struggle and then we’re able to solve it. And I think that that is such a huge, huge way of demonstrating that. What you’re saying, isn’t just a bunch of malarkey. You’ve got to layer it. You know, I, I hate using this because if, um, I saw this actually in a, in a documentary where someone said, listen to our great Tulsa medical staffing options, if you’re going to lie, you better layer it. Well, listen, when you tell the truth, when somebody doesn’t know you, you have to layer it, meaning you’ve got to give some examples that are very specific examples so that you can, uh, and, and it needs to be specifically display descriptive so that the, the listener is going to be able to understand it.
Um, you know, uh, Rena Murphy says during her two year stint as a client liaison, she increased customer satisfaction rating in her department by 25% or an industry known for high turnover. She had retained 95% of the employees in her department during, during her tenure. And that was a really great way of saying that, that the specifics there are the statistics and knowing, knowing your statistics is really important. Um, second, the second thing that was highly appreciated was I’m a good communicator having strong communication skills. It can be pivotal to your job hunt because you’re, you need good communication skills to be able to interview, um, LinkedIn created a list of skills that job seekers should have. And communication was ranked as a top soft skill to possess. I have oftentimes told a lot of millennial type, the, uh, candidates that at the end of the day, the people making all the money are going to be people who can actually communicate with human beings because so many, so many number of high percentage of millennials have relied on their cell phone via text to be able to communicate that it’s really difficult for them to spend time in front of people.
There, there was even a research done not long ago where they didn’t even want to call in for a pizza. And that’s why pizza. That’s why Domino’s put such a huge emphasis on getting, um, getting an app so that millennials can order pizzas without feeling anxiety. I am telling you, the person that is able to communicate well is going to do extremely well. They’re going to be a top producer, and they’re going to make way more than the person who cannot communicate 32% of managers chose communication as their top answer to the strengths question. Communication encompasses not only speaking skills with a proper level of Tulsa medical staffing today, but also your ability to lead critique, ask for help, get people involved, get people excited and being, being adept in various communication methods also shows a high emotional intelligence. Number three, I have strong time management skills. 30% of hiring managers said that time management was desirable.
Um, and it was a desirable ability in a job candidate. However, if somebody said they had good time management skills, I would want them to explain it to me. And then I would need to see and hear their previous manager explain the same kind of description to me because everyone says what they want to hear and being able to it’s just a thing. I think it was Ronald Reagan said it trust, but verify. You’ve got to trust, but verify, and you can verify most of these, uh, claims in, in references in, I would make sure that I got them. Um, you can demonstrate your strength in this area by sharing how you prioritize your daily tasks. Um, you can use a system that has the best Tulsa medical staffing around. I encourage you using a system to explain it, how you divvy up your day as a percentage. It can show how you best schedule your time to give your full attention to critical projects.
How you put an importance on projects and explaining that is really important. Um, it’s through being able to show a healthy work life balance, um, a hiring manager might not ask you about your personal life, but sharing your hobbies or volunteer projects. You’re also proving that you have the ability to manage and juggle multiple things. So not always a bad thing. You never know. You might find something in common with them. I’m honest, I’ve got to be honest and say that when people talk so much about their honesty, I begin to get concerned. But in this survey, 21% of hiring managers said they liked to hear this in candidates. Hiring managers want to know if you’re going to be trustworthy, chores were trustworthy in your position. It can be difficult to maintain a workplace that fosters integrity, especially in heavily competitive industries. But in my experience, I hate to say it, but those people that talk about honesty, the most tend to be the most dishonest.
And so again, I really want to hear that from the candidate and make sure that what I hear from the candidate is duplicated by their reference. I think that’s so important to make sure that both people are saying the same thing. The last one is the one that I really liked here. I’m very determined. I love hearing this from people rounding out as the top five answers in this survey mentioned about 20% of hiring managers. I would rank that way when you seek out the top Tulsa medical staffing service, hire myself, but determination shows that the applicant knows what they’re looking for in their next role and beyond. And I love to hear someone explain how, when they got determined, they solved problems and got creative. I love listening and watching creativity when someone gets determined and, uh, and the relentlessness that comes through an a player whenever they get determined and sure of themselves, it’s just one of the most beautiful things to watch.
