Trinity Employment | When Do You Find The Best Staffing Service?

Hi, my name is Cory Minter and I’m with Trinity employment specialists. We are a staffing organization located here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We staff all over the nation and that the title of this podcast is going to be job searching and making the very most of your time. Well, right now we’re in the middle of this COVID crisis are coming out of it. We’re not in the middle of it where we’re at the end of it because all of a sudden this last week, um, we’re in the first week of June. Um, this is really crazy for me to even say this, but we literally shut down the country because of COVID. But then this week we had riots. So all of a sudden COVID is gone. Like it’s gone. Well, it is, that doesn’t even exist anymore. And I’m sure you’ve probably noticed this in the news when it comes to our Tulsa Staffing.

So weird how the media does, they do it sad, but that is the case. So right now we’re in the middle of a crisis, but employers are trying to figure out what in the world’s going on and employees are trying to figure out, all right, we went the according to the Bureau of labor statistics, 30 million people are now on unemployment while they’re coming off of it. But 30 million people applied for unemployment benefits as a result of this COVID craziness that now is not anything, but it was five days ago before that it’s not been long when it comes to our Tulsa Staffing, it’s not been long. It was a big deal right before the PR for the riots, trying to figure that out. But I want to talk to employees who are getting ready to go back to work. So what are some things that you can do to really work efficiently and make sure that you are hitting every platform that you need to hit, um, and do it in a small amount of time?

And I think I’ve got some good advice for you here. Um, I’ve, I’ve been in the staffing industry for 11, almost 12 years now. So, um, I’ve S you know, over time become a little bit of an expert in this area, and I’ve got some good ideas for maximizing your time. Number one is, um, get as many systems working for you as possible. Um, use each one of these systems or these different software platforms almost as though they are an employee of yours, but you’ve got to get them working for you. Now, at first, you’re going to need to spend probably about a week and I wouldn’t get overwhelmed with it, but spend about spend one full day on each social media platform that you want to get activated in. So, one day for indeed, one day for ZipRecruiter, one day for LinkedIn, one day for zip whip or whatever it is one day for, you know, whatever the platform is for your Tulsa Staffing.

But I would find in Google, I’m sure you could find the top five, uh, job searching platforms. You know, Google jobs has one, you know, um, and begin to make sure that your profile is built up completely. Now, this is really important. Actually, one of the things that happened, um, I go to this staffing convention every year. It’s the biggest thing ever. I mean, they throw parties that you only I’m from Oklahoma. So I’ve never seen this stuff before, but it is, you’ve got celebrities running around there. It is the most ridiculous thing that I’ve ever seen, and it is super, super nice. These large companies like indeed, realize how much money staffing firms spend with them. So they really wine and dine us, and they send all of the executives at this convention and they want to talk to us well, listen, Trinity spends a ridiculous amount of money in some of these. And so they were very, uh, incentivized to speak with me. And I was just asking them about some of the differences in there, in their website and how to advise people on the employment side. I said, no, that’s a little bit different, but I want to know how to advise people on the employment side. And this is what they told me is really interesting. If you fill out your profile completely, it makes you in some instances over 80% more searchable, how weird is that?

They, want to incentivize other people for filling their profiles out completely. And I was talking to one of the LinkedIn executives. I think he was the, he was the VP of our new Tulsa Staffing program. It was some kind of coding part of it. And he said, he said in, in LinkedIn, it’s even more so than like indeed and ZipRecruiter, if you feel like your online profile completely in indeed or in, in LinkedIn, it makes you 90% more noticeable when you do this. How interesting is that? Really? Can I, and I asked him, I said, why is it that you want that? And this was his answer. If you want to know brutally, they want your information, they want your personal information. And yeah, they, they, uh, they likely give it to other people and it’s scrapable and other people use it. And you might not like that, but if you want to use those websites, then part of that’s, that’s part of the drill, but, um, get all of these systems working for you in your first week. And then while you’re not working, these things are going to be sending stuff to your email and you can decide if it’s worth your while or not.

Um, that, that is the first thing that I think you should do. The next thing is, is look at different things like Google alerts and have Google go out and search all of the different platforms that you might not be searching for and have, have them have Google send you job opportunities with certain keywords in it. Um, one thing that I would encourage you to do is to go into the glass store and type in keywords for your specific job title. And, um, Glassdoor has a really great resource for you to be able to give you the keywords that employers and employees use. And you can put all of these keywords into your Google alerts and literally Google will scour the entire internet and send you what it is that you want. I think that is a really great way. Um, use your social media platforms to help you boldly and confidently.

Let people know that you were looking for a job and ask for help people believe it or not actually feel good about helping you. And I want you to know it’s likely not going to be the pers the people you thought would help you. And the people that helped me the most online, I would have never thought for a second that they would help me. But all of a sudden, if I asked for advice or something like that, this person that’s out of the blue pops it up. So, um, you know, confidently, let people know what it is that you are looking for and get you, get your network to work for you. And, um, social media is a very powerful platform for you. Um, the, the next thing that I would encourage anyone is, and I need to wrap up with this, um, is your perspective, your, your perspective is, is going to change your circumstances when it comes to the best Tulsa Staffing by far.

And if you’re unemployed, having a negative outlook or perspective is actually quite damaging for you. Um, it’s really interesting when you, when you walk around, you see people who are just naturally positive, um, good things happen to these people and people who are naturally negative, bad things happen to these people. So, um, one of the things that I want to encourage you to do is to really control your perspective. And this is one way that you can do it. This is the top. This will put you in the top 10% of everyone, whatever it is that you do commit to being the very best that you can be. So if you’re going to be a job, searcher commits that today, I’m going to do the very best that I can do during this time period in a set a lot, a time period, a safe time period for you.

It can’t be eight hours that day or all day, every day, it’s going to drive you crazy but assign a time period. And during that time period commit to being the very best you can be. Um,, the next thing that I would encourage you to do this has helped helps your psyche is helped other people get what they want. It’s completely opposite of how joy happens. If you help enough people get what they want, you’ll never have a problem getting what you want. And if you will go out and help people, you won’t believe the mental advantage that you will get there when it com .

Let me just wrap up with this one. I had a couple of others. I’m just gonna wrap up with this one, Leaf system in your, in your mind, that where you can believe that the best is yet to come. This gives you hope and the, and when you begin hoping and thinking in the right direction, um, your, your circumstances begin to follow.
