Hi, my name is corey mentor I’m, president of trinity employment, specialist and trinity we’re staffing organization, we staffing oklahoma, city and tulsa markets. We have for 10-plus years and and we won several awards and providing quality. We have a thing that we do, that that everyone says that they do, but we’ve really truly put a huge emphasis in our company, try to make sure that we have here to it. That is just this quality over quantity. You know it is from a short-term standpoint that doesn’t sound like it would make money, but when you provide quality over and over and over again it it, it won’t take long until people pay attention and then they appreciate that there’s too many companies that are trying to make money quickly and skipping a certain certain corners and that that’s just something that we’re not willing to doso it. We we’ve had a lot of success in just doing this, so today, I want to try to tell you I want to talk with you about hiring a players. I’m always talking about this I think it’s one of the most important things to a company’s reason. I, keep hammering it over and over again, I also believe that most companies do not understand this process, especially small and medium-sized companies. They just do not have a true hiring process that works for them and and so you’llyou’ll get it you’ll get a job order and it’s very clear that the team has no idea what they’re trying to hire and-and so you just kind of already know, as a staffing company, Staffing Tulsa what that’s going to mean because they just don’t know they don’t really know and, and so there’s going to be, some dissension there, but our job is to try to define. You know create the right definition, this equal success, this skill set equal, success, through, important and so I’m going to just go over some things real quickly. That I think you can help probably most companies if, if they can, if they can have good answers to these questions or if they can be very confident in their answer, these questions this this and I guess I guess some of these are statements too. But this is the statement. If you don’t know what you’re looking for you’re likely not going to find itso, what this means is having a clear definition of the job description, this this type of skill-set equal success, often times you get your get different team players on that are decision-makers, and they will. Staffing Tulsa They will not entirely agree with what’s most important and so whoever it is that they have recruiting for it, especially in a company that has a recruiter will then the recruiter doesn’t know so they’re just stabbing at the dark. Just hoping they’ll figure it out, and we had this all the time at trinity. One of the things that we do is we have a clear system to make sure that we understand clearlywhat. It is that the person wants one of the things that we do is like, especially in the medical field and the banking field. We hire people who have done this job for at least 18 years and has worked in it as a manager. So they know what it’s like to hire people and get it wrong, and because of that, we’re able to ask educated questions that people can recognize the managers can talk shop with our staffing agency. Staffing Tulsa It’s really important and we understand what it is that they’re looking for. We understand the terminology and everything like that. So that is something that we do, but part of our job is to make certain that the company knows what they’re looking for in that they put more thought into it, a lot of times small and medium-sized companies. They get an absolute shot, they’re, not proactive in their hiring methods, and so because of that, it’s like oh crap. We got to hire somebody quicklylet’s get it out to somebody here. Let’s call the staffing company so when they call us when they really don’t know what they are looking for, a hundred percent, they have a general idea, but when it gets down to the specifics there, a little bit unsure and I believe that that is a big mistake in trying to find a player’s. Remember we’re giving you sis or giving you things to think about if you’re trying to get only in a player we’re not tolerating being sea level players. The only thing that we’re trying to find here isn’t a player in a player stays longer. They do 1/2 x to work and then eventually, they’ll recruit other a players over to you. So it will save you a lot of time and moneyif. That’s what you get. The second thing is, if you don’t know how to find this right person you’re likely not going to find them, it’s not going to be a guess and a cross. Your fingers and hope type of thing recruiting anymore, recruiting talent that is experienced and has a skill set, is really really difficult, and in today’s culture and my friend 90% of people, but in in today’s culture, finding someone who iswho has a who is in a player type mentality or has character and integrity. So if your, if your company says hey, we want to try to hire character and train the skill or higher the person and train the skill. Listen you’re going to have to do a ton of interviewing figure. It out I think so often times. The only way that you can really do. That constantly. Is that hire staffing company and set in a staffing company? Staffing Tulsa Talking about the the success rate that some very successful companies had in hiring character in train the skill. But the thing is:if you don’t know how to go and find it I’m telling you it is not putting an ad in the paper and it’s not putting an ad on indeed or ziprecruiter, and then just call it good. If you’re going to go, go, hey players, guess what ain’t players are still working like they’re, working right now and they’re, probably not looking at job ads, so you got to figure out a way to go, get it or get them and get them interested in your company. If you don’t have a process for that, you need to either create one or you likely need to hire someone who knows what they’re doing and if you are a manager and your recruiter I would interview my recruiters and see:do they know how to go, get talent and if they don’t send them to some training, to teach them how to go out and get talent I’m telling you man in our culture culture in where, where were at economically is a country. You got to go, get people now. Staffing Tulsa If you want the, if you want someone who’s great so so make sure you know how to go, get it. The best predictor of past behavior is previous behavior in similar circumstances, and so, when you are interviewing for a players-and they have some similarities, asked behavioral style interview questions. Please trust me on this. Ask most of them behavioral style. Do not tell them what it is that you’re looking for beforehand. You know I’m upset and some fries before they drive me crazy. It question be phrase like this listening our company we’re needing to have somebody who is incredibly detailed, it’s so important that they have detail to them, because, if they’re not detailed, it’s it’s going to be this. That are the other, and these are the areas that you need to be detailed in to be successful in this company. Now tell me:are you detailed in these areas when you do that? Does anybody see what you’re doing you’re telling someone who’s wanting a job with you exactly what it is that you’re wanting to hear? Don’t do that ask the question say what are some of your? What what are some of the best skills that you believe that you bring into this company? How do you handle attention to detail? What are some of the ways that you do these things so asking good questions about their past behavior and ask him? How have you handled this before in the past is a great indicator for you it’ll help you to try to determine how they’re going to behave. They’re in your in your group, so listen!
