Hi my name is Corey Minter come with Trinity employment specialist. Currently we’re staffing organization and we’re located in Tulsa and we have done a lot of good things in trying to introduce quality over quantity in the staffing arena. There are a ton of staffing companies all throughout Tulsa from what I understand there’s 200 in Tulsa alone. When I started I believe that there might have been like 8. So I don’t know what to think about all of this. But you know somehow some way with 200 staffing companies. We’ve been growing and growing and I keep seeing other people is kind of falling off. Staffing Agency Tulsa we have we have a little system of what we do where we bring in some really great people to our customers and we have to work hard at it and we have to work harder than ever now because of like I said all the competition. But it’s something that we’ve been able to do very well. We have this like it’s a level that we’re trying to go to. We want to always bring our clients a players and when it’s not we terminate and we terminated or we’re a players. It’s it’s something that we’ve been able to do. That. I want to want to talk to you real quickly just about I just wrote down for five things for people to consider when they’re trying to create a system or a hiring system for themselves. And I want to do this because I think there are multiple things that you should consider because each company is a little bit different but you should really only narrow it down to probably four or five. You know at the most. But here here’s some some of the things that I think that are easy to do and they can help you a whole lot. The first thing is treat your candidates like you would you’re good customers. A lot of Staffing Companies get this completely wrong. Staffing Agency Tulsa you hear about it from the candidates that we that we have. And then all of a sudden we hear how other staff and companies treat them. Go take a look at our reviews. I promise you that you’ll see something interesting in just reviews mad because we’ll have so many of our customers that have gone to our competitors. And I’m telling you when you treat your employees like they’re your better customers especially when they’re possible candidates listen it’ll change the way they view your company. And so where this helps is is like in the when you’re going to give them a job offer if they’ve gotten two or three other job offers somebody that you really want if you have reallyR.A. truly recruited them paved the way for them showing them what your company is under the process you have a much better chance of getting them to accept your offer. And so trying to get talent man. Good grief. It’s it’s it’s a struggle getting people who are really really talented what they do. You got to go aggressive at it. Second thing is if you can get your managers to understand the cost in the benefit of actually getting somebody to work out it’ll save you a ton of money. Most people do not calculate or even have the slightest comprehension of what it cost you. Whenever you hear someone and they are the wrong fit this is what Wal-Mart says. Wal-Mart says that if you are somebody at 11 dollars an hour they stay for three months and then they quit. Well then the their loss that they record is eleven thousand dollars. Think about that I’ll bet you that your hiera if you’re hiring somebody it’s likely over eleven dollars an hour. Staffing Agency Tulsa most people don’t understand it. That’s what it costs. And that’s just Wal-Mart. There are a lot of other companies that offer better benefits than what Wal-Mart does and if you don’t trust me will they go read about what their employees say about their benefits their their grow up and about them all the time. I honestly don’t know what they are but I know their employees are upset at them. I probably don’t think that Wal-Mart does that bad of a job. I think their benefits are probably decent.
That’s just my opinion. The third thing is use a cult a coaching culture to corporate millennials and to give them what most millennials are looking for. I didn’t recognize this until just probably about a year ago. Where I had began a coaching culture it was it for this reason at all. It was just because I wanted to mentor the person that I was expected to take over for me so I can get myself a little bit out of the business so I spent three years mentoring our current manager right now. I spent a lot of time with them. I coach them when this person came to us. She made roughly 11 12 dollars an hour. From what I understand and and so I did coach her and through a. Commission structure. Good grief and she’s making close to six figures now and.
It was because I spent time with her toddler. Everything I know and now I don’t even have to tell her what to do. She mimics the way that I would handle things. I mean occasionally she’ll get things a little off from the way I would handle it but it’s not very often. Staffing Agency Tulsa But in doing that what she has done now is now every new recruiter that we bring in she trains them the exact same way that I train her using the exact same system that I used with her. Now I still meet with her to help to elevate her. She’s meeting with our employees to elevate them and. We’ve created this coaching culture. You win you win wouldn’t believe it. Go read our reviews and you’ll see what people say about when they walk in da office. It’s a different kind of atmosphere. People get excited whenever they walk in there.
We have a lot of we have a lot of fun and it’s just a pleasant atmosphere that’s I think part of it so that that’s out when we use a coaching culture changed the loyalty of the people around me.
Next thing is have your have an office space that attracts millennials. You know I’ll give you an example. I’m sitting in an office space right now. You can’t see it but like if you walk around this in this office space attracts Millennials. It’s completely different from our office space in our office space attracts millennials. Staffing Agency Tulsa like in this office space for example you’re going to walk in there’s a Lamborghini or at least it was last week in the lobby and then some other car. Are there too. Laramie’s there’s two Lamborghinis in this thing. There’s computers everywhere there is upbeat music playing. You know there’s a lot of signage all over the walls. Listen this place definitely attracts Millennials. It’s like it has an excitement to it. Move over our place. It’s completely different but it attracts millennials. So if you walk into our place it’s very vibrant colors. There’s pictures of success stories all over the place are décor is very modern. I don’t know how you and I can’t believe that I’m not a modern Gartmore of like a woulds a guy but art are the core is very modern. When you walk in you’ve got Christian positive music playing. I want to hit their sight smell in them what they experience. So I have. A diffuser that’s blowing this really good smelling stuff so you walk into our office and this is what you experience. But the thing that I think that gets people is you can see the way that people are interacting with each other. So there’s almost at all times laughter it’s quiet in our office it’s very pleasant. And the person that comes in. I mean I learned this from Disney World. I I want our new employees prospective employees to just want to work in our place and I want them to do that without us ever even saying a word to them. I want them to see smell. You know experience and hear what it’s like to work in a positive environment. And so that attracts Millennials. It’s completely different. Staffing Agency Tulsa.
So what I’m saying is you can create an atmosphere that will attract people but you should ask yourself. When I walk into this office is this something that attracts people born the crazy out of people or scares people to go to work with you. You might if you want to hire top talent create an atmosphere where people want to be and that will be a big a big thing and I’m talking to managers here. If you create an atmosphere that people want to be in with some money’s not everything. Oftentimes it will help your bottom line. You have to pay people to you know if you’re going to be if your employees are miserable you’re going to have to pay them to stay there. So. Think about that. Listen I’m sure he can help you.
